Is Google Street View breaking canadian laws?
Google Street View, a new service offered by Google may be breaking canadian privacy laws. Canada's privacy commissioner is questionning the new web photo application which may be breaking Canada's privacy law. Under that law, no one can get photographes or filmed without their written consent. Since Google's new service is working 24/7 and does not require consent from the people being photographed, the commissioner has exp^ressed her concern. Google has proposed a few solutions to the problem. The service is still not available in Canada yet.
